1. Where do you meet and when?
We meet Sunday mornings at 10:30 A.M. in the basement of the French Broad Baptist Association. The French Broad Baptist Association is on the west end of Mars Hill off Highway 213 at 143 Roy Forrester Road. From Asheville, take Exit 11 off Interstate 26 West and turn left off ramp onto Highway 213 toward Mars Hill/Marshall for 2.6 miles. Turn right onto Roy Forrester Road. The French Broad Association is on the left.
Bible Study: Thursday evenings, 7:00 PM-8:30 PM in the basement of the French Broad Baptist Association.
2. Do I have to be a Christian to come? I am just searching.
You do not have to be a Christian to come. We all began as non-Christians, and we welcome the opportunity to share the Word so that you may taste and see that God is good.
3. Why are you non-denominational?
We want to focus our early efforts on making much of God and little of ourselves. To do that we felt it best to avoid political and administrative distractions that sometimes accompany a denominational affiliation. We want to focus on God and His Word and on the people whom God brings to us. That is enough for us as we start. We have no thoughts of superiority over denominations or others; in fact, we are acutely aware of our own fallibility and our need for other believers and churches.
In fact, we have the blessings and prayers of a local Baptist church and a large non-denominational church. They both supply us with prayers, blessings, advice and counsel, but neither has control or gives us financial resources.
4. What do you have for children?
We have children's church for very young children during the time of teaching for the adults. Presently, we encourage school-age children to attend church with the adults until we grow. We hope to expand and grow in Godly teaching for our children.
