Madison Chapel Church

Church in Mars Hill, North Carolina (a bedroom community of Asheville)

Madison Chapel is a non-denominational church based in Mars Hill, North Carolina. We welcome all individuals in the name of Christ, who are searching for answers to life's most difficult questions. This is a new church, so we are learning and growing as we try our best to "Make much of Christ and give glory to God the Father!" (Colossions 3:17)

What We Are

We are a church of Jesus Christ, holding to the fundamentals of the historic biblical Christian faith.

We gather together on Sundays for nourishment, not of a physical kind with calories, aromas, and leftovers, but for spiritual nourishment through the Word of God and worship, centered on the Gospel of Jesus, crucified and risen. Nourishment is meant to encourage hearts to be transformed from the inside—the emotions and mind—so that our members may live Godly and exemplary lives.

Why go to church at all these days?

With TV, radio, video, Internet, Iphones, Ipods, Twitter and the like, why go to church at all? Can't you get all you need, snug and warm at home and not bothered by all the mess of being among a bunch of other folks? If you've tried life that way you know the answer. There is something missing.

That something is the answer to the questions that plague every human being at some point in their lives. Why am I here? Who made me? What is my purpose in life? Where am I going? Does it matter at all?

That something is also someone who genuinely cares about you as an individual, not as a number, or an account!

What Church Is Meant to Do

The church is meant to provide an avenue for men and women to definitively find the answers to these tough questions of life, and to love each other along the way, doing it!

In the process, we learn that bringing God glory actually brings more satisfaction and meaning to life than we ever could have asked for or imagined.

That is why at Madison Chapel we want to try to "Make much of God" and be sensitive to our natural tendencies, to focus on ourselves.

The church doesn't always work that way, even here, but that is what it is meant to do. And this is what we want to strive for every day of our lives.

If This Is the Sort of Church That Interests You

Please come and join us for a Sunday and see what you think. We won't be for everyone, but we will be a faithful week in and week out to preach and teach what the Bible has to say in answering these tough questions and bringing meaning to ever-increasingly empty world existence.

"Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit," says the Lord Almighty. (Zechariah 4:6)
